Physical Rubber prices showed weakness on Friday amidst extremely dull volumes, as the market was in a holiday mood prior to Christmas. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety fell to Rs 130.50/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 131/ kg; while the RSS-5 variety declined to Rs 128/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 128.50/ kg.
In the futures market, January delivery firmed up to Rs 134.11 compared to its previous closing of Rs 132.63, while February delivery closed at Rs 136.14 compared to its previous close of Rs 134.65 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
